This assignment was fairly easy for me, other than the fact than it was just time consuming. I uploaded each image and then commented on it before I uploaded the next image, and I had no problems with that aspect. It did take forever for the images to upload to the Voice Thread site, but I think that was a matter of my internet connection. I had trouble finding pictures to fit to the slides I used, mainly because I hand-drew all the pictures for my book, and had no reason to scan them. Looking back, I wish I had scanned my pictures so that I would have them for this activity, but I think everything worked out in the end. I would love to be able to use this technology in my classroom, but for younger grades, it would definitely involve a LOT of pre-planning on my part. I could see this being a wonderful tool to share at a parent teacher conference, having the Voice Thread set up for the parents to hear their child present a piece of work he/she has completed during class. It would be extremely important to have all of the nitty-gritty details taken care of before allowing the students to take part in this activity however, because it can be confusing for an adult!
